I'm an award winning contemporary portrait photographer in the lovely town of Livingston, NJ. I spent countless years as a creative director in the wild and often chaotic world of advertising. Those were days filled with deadlines, endless meetings, and creative debates that could rival Olympic events.
Through it all, my role as a creative director taught me something profound—how to tell a story. I learned that every image, like every person, has a story waiting to be revealed. It's this storytelling experience that I bring to my photography.

I am a contemporary portrait photographer and all-around creative explorer offering luxury photo sessions in the New York/New Jersey area. Well, here's the scoop: I've spent a lifetime in the world of advertising as a creative director, and let me tell you, that experience has prepared me for just about anything—including capturing your dazzling essence through the lens.
Harlem born and raised, I now live in New Jersey with my beautiful wife Stacie, raising three fast growing kids, Jaden, Madison and Kennedy.
With over 30 years of experience in NY advertising, I've worked as an art director and creative director on countless campaigns for a variety of clients. I've always been fascinated by the power of images to convey emotion, tell stories, and capture people's attention.

When was the last time you were professionally photographed?
When you come in for a consultation we will plan and design a photo shoot that you want–that you’ve dreamed of. Your session fee is for the creation of your images and includes our signature service. Wardrobe advice ensures that everyone looks fantastic. Complimentary in person design and ordering appointments are provided to tailor artwork that is one of a kind. In person styling and personal shopping is available (and very fun) - just ask and we'll book it for you (fee applies)! I strongly encourage professional makeup. We have artists we love that we can connect you with.
Digital files, prints, albums and wall art are purchased during your ordering appointment and are not included in the session fee. Let's talk about how we can take you from wardrobe to wall art.

FAQ
When do I receive my Photos?
Allow 5 working days from when you place your retouching order and pay the balance. If you’re working to a specific deadline, let me know and I will do everything possible to get you your images in time.
How do I prepare for my session?
Getting a good night’s sleep, staying hydrated, avoiding excessive alcohol the day before – these are all good tips for arriving at your headshot session ready to look great. But I know life gets in the way. If you’re fitting this into a hectic schedule, just follow my downloadable PDF on what to wear, show up, and let me do the rest. It really doesn’t need to be stressful.
Where is your studio?
My Home Studio is located in Livingston, NJ. It offers a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that you feel comfortable and confident during your portrait session.
What if I'm not photogenic?
Everyone is photogenic. When people don’t look good in photos it’s more to do with them being uncomfortable or nervous. I’ll guide you through the process to make sure you are relaxed, and you’ll find that you enjoy it. If we take a picture we don’t like, we’ll delete it!
Can I select the background?
Of course! Whether you want the simplicity of plain white or grey, a touch of color from my range of Seamless backdrop papers, or one of my selection of hand-painted canvas backdrops, you can choose. Based on your skin and hair coloring, and your chosen wardrobe, I can advise on what works best for the mood you want to create. I can also create custom colors as needed for corporate branding.
What does retouching mean?
Retouching portraits is about quality control. Every tiny detail is assessed; if it is distracting, it gets removed. Temporary blemishes, stray eyebrows, cat hairs, etc, are all dealt with so that the focus remains on your expression. All images are optimized for brightness, color and contrast.
